Ben's First Haircut

On Sunday, Ben got his very first haircut.  I'd say he did pretty well.

Benjamin sure does.  Either that or he loves Cee Lo Green.  We were watching the Bears game on Thursday night and he started dancing to the new theme song.

So apparently I've been a little behind in my blogging.  I looked back and realized that I haven't posted montly photos since Benjamin was 9 months old.  Oops!

Well here is his 10 month photos...

I don't know where the time has gone.  One year ago, we came home from the hospital with this tiny bundle who would fall asleep on your chest.  Today, we have a squirmy little boy who will only sit still for dinner.

Benjamin and I went for his 1 year check up today.  He got 4 shots today.  I'm not sure if it was harder on Benjamin or me. 

He is growing so quickly.  He weights 22 lb 12 oz (70%), he's 30.75 inches tall (82%) and his head is in the 99%...still.

Happy Father's Day

9 Months Old

I'm 9 Months Old!

 Benjamin at 9 months: he's leveled off in height (28.5 inches) and weight (20.11 pounds).  But definitely not head size-47.5 cm.  That's 97th percentile!

He is a VERY busy boy.  The only time he ever sits still is first thing in the morning.  Even at mealtime, he is scanning the room to see what's going on.  Benjamin is so squirmy it's nearly impossible to hold him.  He would rather be rolling around on the floor.

He's finally figured out how to sit up on his own.  And has recently learned how to get up on all fours.  It won't be long before he is crawling and our lives will be drastically different.

Oh and EVERYTHING goes in his mouth.  Except for avocados, he doesn't like those.

While we were in Sioux Falls, Ben, Granny Janny and I drove down to Vermillion to visit Tia at school. Apparently, some of her students agree with me that Ben is the cutest baby ever. They even came up with a cute Spanish nickname "pepinito." It means little cucumber.

Benjamin loved flirting with all the girls.

I know if we're ever in Vermillion, we'll have plenty of babysitters.

Call it a 6 month birthday present

6 Months Old

Better late than never-Benjamin is 6 months old!

Benjamin at 6 months olds: he weights 17.4 pounds (43%), he's 27.25 inches (76%), and his head is 45.25 cm (97.6%). All in all, he's a pretty happy baby. But when he's not, watch out!
Remember last month when I said Benjamin didn't like to roll over? Well, you can forget about that. We cannot keep this boy still! He'll commonly wake us up in the middle of the night stuck on his belly with an arm or leg sticking out of the crib. Wow, does that make him mad!
Benjamin has started eating solids. And while he's not a fan of rice cereal, he really likes peas and bananas. Henry is very happy to help with dinner clean-up and Benjamin thinks it's very funny when Henry licks his fingers. And speaking of the dog...
